About me
Jean Ricard is a specialist in active travel and adventure. In 2001, he visited Everest Base Camp for the first time after attending a conference given by two Canadian mountaineers returning from the summit.
On his return from the trek, he was already planning his next adventure. He then tackled Aconcagua in Argentina, Mount McKinley in Alaska and Kilimanjaro in Africa, before attempting Everest in the spring of 2007.
He has also completed and organized several cycling tours, including Mallorca, Tuscany, the Pyrenees, Andalusia, Provence, the Grandes Alpes route and others.
In 2009, he acquired Voyages Algonquin in Gatineau and developed the adventure travel specialty that would become Voyages Atlantis. Since then, he has organized and accompanied several groups to Everest base camp, Kilimanjaro, Aconcagua and more.
